Commercial sales manager

For the sales department at our office in the Netherlands we are looking for a commercial sales manager who can strengthen our team and help us reach our sales targets. Our team consists of commercial and technical sales managers who work in teams of two on multiple offers. Each team will consist of a commercial and technical sales manager.

As a commercial sales manager your responsibilities will be:

  • Evaluate RFQ's (Request for Quotation)
  • Answer commercial clarifications and evaluate technical clarifications
  • Evaluate offers made by the technical sales manager
  • Determine prices for offering
  • Communicate with the customer
  • Follow-up offers
  • Evaluate purchase orders and their terms and conditions
  • After order fill in the project summary list for the transfer meeting to the project department
  • Set up visits or meetings as necessary to evaluate offers, clarifications, etc.
  • Visit customers for commercial and technical meetings
  • Visit potential customers for introduction meetings
  • Give presentations
  • Negotiate with customers
  • Expand international market
  • Attend exhibitions
  • Organise and present seminars and training sessions


Job requirements:

  • Bachelor of applied sciences (HBO) in commercial, marketing or related field
  • Good level of written and oral English
  • Strategic decision making skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Representative appearance
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Willingness to travel, also in weekends (approximately 6 times per year)
  • Willingness to work on Sunday when travelling (due to the differences in working days in the Middle East region)
  • Interest in technology and our products
